• During 1997-1998, he has been a post-doc both at the:
  • Université Paris Cité, Paris, France, where he was a member of LIAFA (Laboratoire d'Informatique Algorithmique: Fondements et Applications), and at the
  • University of Milano.
• Since 1999, he has been an assistant professor at the University of Milano-Bicocca.
• He is currently a tenured associate professor at the University of Milano since 2002.

His main research interests are quantum computing, formal language and automata theory, computational complexity and algorithms, parallel and distributed algorithms, discrete mathematics and graph theory.
